Busy Busy Busy

Holy Cow! Life is so busy lately. I am so looking forward to Christmas break so there is a little less to do, although we are packed full of plans. Tomorrow Marcus and I are heading to Alabama to visit his family. I have never met anyone in his family, and Buddy has only met a few of them, so we are pretty excited. We will be there until Thursday and then we are heading to Atlanta to spend time with my family, before heading back to Savannah. Whew. A LOT of traveling, but we are hoping for lots of relaxing and GOOD FOOD! Getting in shape for the wedding will have to wait until after Christmas. I plan on FULLY enjoying the season :)

So, what have I been busy with? Work, Coaching, Grad School, and life in general. We haven't done much more with the wedding...hopefully we'll make a few phone calls over the break and get a few more things set in stone. We think we have found a house to move into in March, so we are pretty excited about getting into a place with more space! It is getting pretty cramped in that tiny apartment. We also plan to begin saving for a house next year so maybe soon after we're married we can find a house to buy.

I have two main goals for the break, and both involve Pinterest. haha. I want to make some crafts and food I've been seeing on there, and organize my life! I know that sounds silly, but seriously, I keep finding tons of inspiration on Pinterest for both. I made a couple Christmas gifts from Pinterest, which I will share after Christmas, but there are so many other things I want to do. For example...

Paint furniture!! This is something that probably wont get done until we move, but I have found a bunch of fun blogs of people fixing furniture up. Pretty excited about it. We need furniture for Buddy and Riley's future room, a guest bedroom, and a kitchen table and chairs. Craigslist will definitely be our friend..

Plans are in place!!

Marcus and I have been engaged for almost two months now! Since pretty much the day of we have been asked the same question over and over..."have you set a date?". The answer for the past two months has been over and over "no", which can be quite frustrating because sometimes its the same person asking for the fourth time! Well, finally this weekend we went back to Atlanta for the Thanksgiving holiday and got to look at Venues. We went to Ivy Hall at Roswell Mill, The Carl House, Fernbank, and Flint Hill. We really liked all of them, but fell in love with Ivy Hall pretty quickly. We compared prices and options and were happy to find that Ivy Hall ended up being the best deal, too! So, finally, we can answer "YES" to that question!

On July 14, 2012, Marcus and I will be getting married at Ivy Hall at Roswell Mill!!

Isn't it pretty?? Thank you to my college roommate, Liz, who reccommended the place! It sits right on a river and has this beautiful bridge we can take pictures on, too!

I also got my dress on Saturday! My mom, sister, Katie, Morgan and I went to Davids Bridal on Saturday morning to look at dresses. I had several picked out that I really liked and one of those ended up being the one! I wish I could post a picture of it, but Marcus reads this ;). He keeps asking what it looks like and I tell him its two pieces with charms and its red and my stomach shows in it. Gotta keep him guessing ;)

We also went to the Georgia Aquarium this weekend with little man, Buddy. To be honest, we were not that impressed! Buddy loved seeing the "fishes" though.

Buddy also got to spend some time with his new cousins! He was so excited to spend the night with Morgan and Thomas. They had a great time! Thank you Kerry for keeping him!

While Buddy stayed at Kerry and Matt's, we went to the Fernbank for the Martinis and IMAX. Marcus had never been to an IMAX movie before! My mom got passes and we went with my parents and Katie and Trey.

Aaaand I'll leave you with a couple other pictures from the weekend...particularly some of the funny ones ;)

I love Sundays

There is something about a good Sunday that just warms the soul. Our Sunday's almost always include Flag Football. Marcus plays on a team that plays every Sunday in Daffin Park, which is BEAUTIFUL. I think it is one of the hidden treasures of Savannah. Today we also cleaned house, and I made a dessert from Pinterest (again). We haven't tried it yet, but it looks SO good. Sopapilla Cheescake.

See what I mean? Beautiful. We are planning on taking some engagement photos at Daffin because we have spent so much of our relationship there, and, of course, it is SO pretty.

That's my man, playing flag football.

This week we took Buddy trick or treating. It was my first experience as a "parent" trick or treating...man, it is tiring!! We went to a large neighborhood and parked at a friends house. We had SO much fun. Buddy was Mario.

He is too cute :)

Today, I will leave you with this lovely picture of Marcus, painting our dogs nails :)
