30 weeks

Pregnancy Survey- 30 Weeks

How Far Along: 30 weeks

Size of baby: Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she 's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

Total Weight Gain: 18 lbs

Sleep: I'm still finding it hard to sleep. I have a pillow between my legs so my hips dont hurt as much, but I'm just not comfortable. Plus, she likes to have a dance party when Marcus wakes up at 5:30am.

Symptoms: I guess normal symptoms. I've felt a little more emotional lately....like I get aggravated easily at things that shouldn't matter. Luckily not with Marcus, though :)

Cravings: COLD water. And lately, anything sweet.

Gender- Madelyn Grace - a girl :)

Movement: She's still moving a good bit! I can feel her in my ribs a lot more often now.

Maternity Clothes: Yup.

Best Moments this week: WELL!!! We put together the crib, and today I scored an awesome dresser for just $10!! Y'all, I'm so excited.

What I'm looking forward to:  We are taking a tour of the maternity part of the hospital on Saturday and we are planning to paint the nursery, too! Hopefully we will also get to re-do the dresser as well. After that the nursery will be very close to being done, we will just need to figure out the stuff to hang on the walls :)

Milestones: Crib is up!

Side note: At my 28 week appointment I failed my glucose test, so I had to go back for a long, 3 hour test. The drink the first time just tasted like koolaid, but the second time it was MUCH sweeter. They took my blood every hour for three hours, and then the nurse told me to go feast on whatever I wanted because if I failed the test, I would be on a strict diet. Luckily, I found out Friday that I passed.

Also, yesterday I stubbed the living crap out of my toe, and I'm pretty convinced it is broken. Like, legit, it still hurts. So that is always fun!

School starts back for me on Wednesday, well, pre-planning does. We have our 30 week appointment on Thursday, as well. I will do a nursery update once it is done :)

Last week, at 29 weeks.

27 weeks survey

How Far Along: 27 Weeks- almost in the 3rd trimester!

Size of baby: This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with his legs extended. she's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now.
Total Weight Gain: 15 pounds as of this morning

What I miss: sleeping comfortably

Sleep: See above. My hips have started hurting in the middle of the night, i guess from laying on my side. I've been trying my best to not sleep on my back but a few hours into sleep both sides hurt because i have to roll over a lot and I guess theres a lot more weight there now, haha.

Symptoms: Last week in Alabama I was quite tired a few days...and being out in the sun makes me dehydrated a lot quicker now but I'm doing the best I can to drink fluids all day.

Cravings: Just random stuff. Still love my spicy and mexican stuff! Anything cold.

GenderBABY GIRL! Madelyn Grace is the decided name :)

Some cute onesies from Marcus' family!

Movement: She's a good little mover.

Maternity Clothes: Same.

Best Moments this week: Well I haven't updated in three weeks, so the best moments have been visiting Alabama. Marcus is from there, and he has a huge family, all of which are wonderful. The boys got to see all of his old stomping grounds and Riley got to meet a lot of family he hadn't met before.

St. Stephens Park, swimming on the 4th!

What I'm looking forward to: This weekend is my sweet Morgan's birthday! Next week we have our 28 week appointment, we will see how the glucose test goes...

Milestones: None that I know of so far, haha.

Me at 26 weeks!
