To my fifteen year old self

I just saw this article on CNN.com, and I thought it was an interesting concept, so I thought it would be something fun to do.

To my fifteen year old self,

Right now you're at an interesting point in your life. You are about to be baptized, and you've been going to church more. You are about to experience your first real heartbreak, even though you have another year or so before you have your first serious relationship. You have a good group of friends, many you are still friends with, now. There are a lot of things that will confuse you in the next few years, but I promise, it will all work itself out.

A few words of advice, though I know you probably wont listen.

First, no man is worth putting above your friends. At least not until you are married, and that won't happen until you are 25.

Second, if the majority of your friends are not a fan of a guy, there is probably a reason.

Your first instinct is usually right. STOP ignoring it.

If he cheats once, he will probably cheat again. Being drunk or the fact that he was honest with you does not excuse it.

Hiding things is the same thing as lying. If you feel like you shouldn't tell someone what you're doing, you probably shouldn't be doing it.

Stay away from credit cards. <~ This will be your one big regret, later.

Be nice to people. You are not better than anyone else. If you feel wrong saying something to someone DON'T say it. People do not always want your opinion, sometimes they just want you to be there for them.

~Always do your best~
